Modern-day living does come with its fair share of stress. Often, things don’t go according to plan, and we encounter issues in our work, personal, or social lives. Even if one aspect of our life is disturbed, its effects can spill over into other areas and relationships. For instance, when personal issues such as the passing away of a loved one can affect performance at work. Vice versa, problems at work, such as a difficult boss, can impact your relationships and social life. However, getting individual therapy services might be a good solution to these problems. During these tough times, it can be challenging to bounce back with the tools, time, and support needed to regain mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing, therefore an individual therapist can help you regain your emotional well-being so that you can achieve your full potential!

Individual therapy, also called psychotherapy, is about working collaboratively with a trained mental health professional like myself to reach your wellness goals. I specialize in helping clients makes breakthroughs using a variety of techniques, such as emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), schema therapy, and interpersonal neurobiology.

My Approach

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to therapy. This is why, my focus is on helping you process your feelings while getting to the root cause of the issue. I specialize in working with people that are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, challenges regarding self-worth, personality and mood disorders, codependency and difficult relationships. When you’re ready to get started, I create a safe space for you to process your feelings and help connect experiences and problems to identify patterns that may be holding you back in life.

Depending on your unique needs, I will devise a treatment plan that works best for you. For instance, if you’re battling addiction, CBT techniques often prove to be most meaningful. Similarly, if you’re struggling with anger issues, I may use the transference technique to discover the root cause of this emotional trigger and substitute with a more adaptive behavior.

If you want to take a step toward the life that you envision for yourself or start implementing meaningful change in your life, individual therapy is the perfect place to start. Book an appointment with an experienced individual therapist and start working through the problems that may be holding you back from achieving your full potential. I counsel clients across New Jersey.
